Our (My) Story

Let’s be straight up here, Syncline Publishing is a project created by Peter Ryan (me) to streamline the publishing process and get well-constructed and edited stories in front of eyes without having to jump through the myriad of hoops flung about by the publishing industry.

Having had one novel successfully published through a hybrid-style publishing organization, and having had a competition-winning story go through the mill for a couple of years in the same place (and ultimately languish because they were overwhelmed with other authors and very much understaffed), the idea of a do-it-yourself hands-on approach held a lot of appeal.

The books and stories I write are all professionally edited and proofread, and the cover designs are created by industry professionals. I’m not a believer in the ability of an author to totally self-edit a novel in its entirety (though some self-editing is absolutely necessary), and the need for a team to support any project is absolutely vital.

Essentially, Syncline is about control and taking charge of as much of the publishing process as possible, while being mindful of the need for outside experts to create the best product possible.
